About Me

Andrea - Buckets and Blessings

I’m Andrea, and I believe God grows big things in small buckets.

The Concrete Truth
I used to think you needed acres of land and perfect soil to be a “real” gardener. But living in an apartment in Albany, GA, taught me something different. My garden is just a 10×40 foot patch of concrete. It’s small, it’s limited, and it’s exactly where I was meant to start.

Growing Anyway
I started with a few buckets and some recycled containers. What I discovered was a blessing: life grows wherever you give it a chance. Now, my porch is full of okra, lavender, cucumbers, and more—all thriving in containers.

Honoring the Whole Plant
Buckets and Blessings isn’t just about growing food; it’s about stewardship. I believe God created plants for us to enjoy, and we often waste parts that have so much benefit. I’m on a mission to use as much of the plant as possible—from okra leaf tea to lavender stem broth.

I’m Learning With You
I don’t have all the answers, and I don’t use every single bit of every plant yet. But I am learning, experimenting, and sharing my insights along the way. Whether you have a massive backyard or just a single bucket on a windowsill, there is a blessing waiting for you to grow it.

Let’s cook the whole plant together.
